Laser Operator in Anaheim

Under moderate supervision, the Engraving and Laser Operator is responsible for operating the Boraident laser engraving machine and related equipment and using other small hand tools. Ensures that parts and products are properly labeled, marked, and packaged. Performs related functions as needed.

Core tasks:

1. Access marking program for each product in database.

2. Set up holders and fixtures for laser operations.

3. Operate engraving and laser equipment and mark pH and ORP sensors, plugheads, and plastic and stainless-steel parts and housings.

4. Mark products with part numbers, logos, code dates, model number, and certification number.

5. Prepare and print operating manuals for packaging purposes.

6. Configure box and package, tape, and label products.

7. Report problems to Industrial Engineering or to the Manufacturing Manager.

Complementary tasks:

1. Post operations in SAP.

2. Stage completed products in appropriate areas.

Requirements for the position

Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience/Certification: One year of production assembly experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of laser and engraving equipment set-up and operating procedures a plus.

• Knowledge of safe production assembly practices.

• Knowledge of SAP procedures for work orders.

• Knowledge of chemical and materials hazards, Safety Data Sheets, and proper handling and storage procedures a plus.

• Knowledge of packaging and labeling procedures.

• Knowledge of basic staging procedures.

• Read and understand prints, schematics, manufacturing procedures, and instructions.

• Complete daily work assignments within agreed upon time frame.

• Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
