Accountant

Kinetic Personnel Group Commerce, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk 

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Employment Type: Temp with possibility of full time

Position Overview


We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our accounting team on a temporary basis. This role will assist both AP and AR staff with daily financial operations, ensuring timely processing of payments, invoices, and account updates.


The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and strong communication with customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Duties

  • Maintain an up-to-date billing system

  • Post customer payments (cash, checks, credit cards)

  • Process credit card payments

  • Prepare bank deposits

  • Follow up on and collect outstanding payments

  • Generate weekly statements

  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies

  • Create credit memos and adjustments as needed

  • Set up new customer accounts and verify credit terms

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person

Accounts Payable / Lot Processing Duties

  • Process accounts payable and vendor invoices

  • Generate weekly open lot reports

  • Verify and post lots in system

  • Follow up on payment status

  • Process vendor credit applications

  • Maintain vendor records and files

  • Create credit/debit memos

  • Research and resolve pricing discrepancies

  • Verify warehouse receiving documentation

  • Scan and organize paperwork

  • Monitor vendor accounts for irregularities

Administrative Support

  • Assist accounting team members as needed

  • Direct phone calls and provide basic customer/vendor support

  • Open and distribute incoming mail

  • Provide general office support

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience

  • High school diploma required; accounting coursework preferred

  • Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to consistently work early morning hours

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
