Production Planner (Aerospace) - direct hire role
Aerospace Production Planner / Expeditor
Pay: $32â$38/hr
Drive production flow in a fast-paced aerospace machine shop. This role urgently supports CNC machining, BOM assemblies, and all related components by ensuring materials, schedules, and resources stay on track. You will be the key link between production, quality, engineering, assembly, and shipping to eliminate delays and keep jobs moving.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain aggressive production schedules and keep all jobs on deadline.

Expedite work orders, parts, and assemblies through machining, fabrication, and outside processing.

Coordinate daily with engineering, procurement, machinists, and supervisors to clear bottlenecks fast.

Monitor inventory and trigger immediate material procurement when needed.

Identify delays early and implement rapid corrective actions.

Ensure all parts meet aerospace quality and regulatory requirements before advancing.

Keep accurate, real-time status updates on job location, progress, and completion.

Support continuous improvement to reduce lead times and increase throughput.

Manage outside processes (heat treat, anodize, etc.) and ensure quick turnaround.

Deliver daily production status reports to leadership.
Qualifications

High school diploma required; technical training or degree preferred.

5+ years in aerospace or machine-shop production planning/expediting.

Strong understanding of CNC machining, materials, and shop operations.

Able to read blueprints and production schedules with accuracy.

Highly organized, fast-paced, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Experience with ERP systems (EPICOR preferred).

Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Lean manufacturing knowledge
