Buyer Planner â Aerospace Industry
We are currently seeking a skilled Buyer Planner to support an aerospace manufacturing company in Commerce, CA. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and procurement activities across assigned product lines. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Location: Commerce, CA
Contract Duration: 6â9 months (potential for long-term)
Pay Rate: $30â$45/hour (DOE)
Schedule: MondayâFriday, 7:00 AM â 3:00 PM (occasional overtime; hours may vary)
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery targets using manufacturing systems.

Plan and schedule parts and components for production based on MRP and customer demand.

Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in production or supply.

Collaborate with Production Control to ensure timely procurement of materials.

Source and evaluate suppliers for new and existing products; negotiate pricing and terms.

Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze quotes, and select suppliers.

Generate and manage purchase orders and amendments, ensuring all technical and commercial requirements are met.

Resolve invoice discrepancies and manage returns or rejections of materials.

Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and adjustments.

Participate in cross-functional projects related to production planning and supply chain optimization
Qualifications:

Proven experience in a Buyer Planner or similar role within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Strong understanding of MRP systems and production planning principles.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
