Summary
We are seeking a team-oriented and results-driven Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support critical customersâprimarily in the Aerospace, Space, and Military sectors. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing daily quality assurance activities that drive continuous improvement and ensure consistent production of products in compliance with established Quality Goals, Procedures, and Customer Requirements.
Responsibilities

Develop and analyze quality data to determine whether existing processes meet required quality and reliability standards.

Assist in developing and implementing quality plans and processes for new customers, products, and technologies.

Formulate and maintain quality assurance objectives; coordinate objectives with production teams to maximize product quality and reliability while minimizing costs.

Support production, inspection, and testing teams to ensure consistent and repeatable output that meets customer requirements.

Plan, organize, and promote training activities related to product quality and reliability.

Investigate and address customer complaints; ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Promote organizational awareness and compliance with customer requirements and deliverables.

Review and analyze suspected nonconformances across assembly processes (SMT, Wave/Selective Soldering, Mechanical Assembly) under IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, and J-STD-001 standards.

Perform root cause analysis of quality escapes and propose permanent CAPA solutions.

Review and interpret customer quality clauses to ensure full compliance.

Compile and analyze data to generate quality reports, metrics, and KPIs for management and customers.

Understand and interpret aerospace quality requirements; generate AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).

Exercise authority to identify, record, and initiate action to prevent nonconformities in products, processes, and the quality system.

Monitor and verify completion and effectiveness of corrective actions for internal and external nonconforming products.
Qualifications
-
5â6 years of related experience in Electronic Contract Manufacturing operations (PCBAs) for HI-REL industries such as Aerospace, Space, and Defense (preferred).

Ability to understand high-reliability (HI-REL) customer requirements and their impact on existing processes.

Strong root cause analysis methodology with a proven ability to deliver permanent CAPA solutions.

Technical understanding of EMS processes; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on investigations and process improvements.

Proven track record as a change agent with the ability to influence and inspire organizational improvements.

Comprehensive knowledge of IPC industry standards and applicable MIL-STD workmanship guidelines.

Ability to review and assess nonconformances across PCBA manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with customer quality clauses and compliance requirements.

Bachelorâs degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
