Our client, a well-established furniture manufacturer based in Fullerton, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to support their procurement and production operations. This is a great opportunity to join a stable, team-oriented environment with long-term growth potential.
Position Summary
The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for supporting day-to-day purchasing activities, including processing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone consistent who is seeking a long term opportunity, and to grow with our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, process, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and order status
- Follow up on shipments, backorders, and discrepancies
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Support inventory and production teams to ensure material availability
- Assist in resolving vendor or supply issues as they arise
- Enter and update data in ERP/MRP systems
- Collaborate with internal departments including warehouse, production, and accounting
Qualifications
- 3â5 years of purchasing or procurement experience (preferably in manufacturing or distribution)
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
- Experience with purchase order processing and vendor communication
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer systems
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
