Summary
Responsible for procuring and administering purchase orders and subcontract agreements for goods and services. This role manages the subcontract process from pre-award through close-out while ensuring compliance with technical, contractual, and performance requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of subcontract agreements, including pre-award activities, contract initiation, ongoing administration, and close-out for assigned projects.
Ensure all subcontract agreements clearly define technical requirements and incorporate applicable contract clauses, terms, and conditions.
Collaborate closely with Engineering to negotiate and implement subcontract modifications, including scope additions, deletions, and revisions.
Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, program managers, and material control teams to resolve performance issues and ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.
Execute procurement activities related to outside processing and material purchases using competitive quotations from approved and recommended suppliers.
Monitor and control inventory levels while identifying opportunities to reduce material and component costs.
Manage multiple priorities effectively and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Apply working knowledge of material processing specifications and requirements.
Utilize effective negotiation skills to support cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Administer Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) and blanket purchase orders.
Prepare accurate, thorough, and compliant procurement and subcontract documentation.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Attention to detail and high level of diligence in documentation
Proven negotiation experience
Familiarity with material processing and procurement practices
