Quality Manager
A confidential, well-established Aerospace and Medical Device manufacturing organization in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead its Quality function. This is a senior leadership role with direct visibility to executive leadership and significant impact on operational excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Pay: $120,000 - $165,000
Position Overview
The Quality Manager will have full ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) and will serve as the Quality Management Representative, ensuring compliance with AS9100D and customer requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of AS9100D

10+ years of experience in an Aerospace Tier 1 manufacturing environment

Proven experience acting as a Quality Management Representative

Thorough understanding of GD&T
-
Strong ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and manufacturing plans

Hands-on experience using inspection tools to verify product conformance
-
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems

Bachelorâs degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience

US Person required (US Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR regulations
Core Responsibilities

Maintain, improve, and ensure compliance of the QMS with AS9100D and customer requirements

Represent the organization during internal, external, and customer audits
-
Lead and develop a Quality team of 8â12, including Mechanical Inspection and CMM inspection
-
Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CARs)
-
Manage nonconformances and corrective action systems
-
Oversee and maintain calibration control processes
-
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality and customer satisfaction
-
Schedule and participate in Management Reviews
