Job Description: Dispatch Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dispatch Manager to lead a small but impactful team of two dispatchers. This new role offers the opportunity to drive change, build a positive culture, and play a vital role in managing operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of customer service leadership experience, preferably within the HVAC or plumbing industries. The successful candidate will be instrumental in streamlining dispatch operations while ensuring optimal service and team growth.

Pay: $30-$40 an hour

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a customer service leadership role; experience in HVAC or plumbing industry is required.

  • Software Proficiency: Experience with ServiceTitan or Service Champion is PLUS familiarity with any industry-related software is fine

  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and guide a team.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to address and resolve customer and internal concerns effectively.

  • Problem-solving: Strong ability to identify issues and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a two-member dispatch team, fostering a positive work culture.

  • Provide guidance, support, and performance management within the department.

  • Oversee scheduling and dispatching of technicians to ensure timely service.

  • Monitor team performance, adjusting as needed to meet department goals.

  • Act as a point of contact for internal staff to resolve operational issues.

  • Refine processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure high customer service standards and address service issues as needed.

  • Provide training and development opportunities for the dispatch team.

  • Manage staffing and schedules to meet fluctuating demands.

  • Maintain accurate and updated records in dispatch software.
