Estimator Assistant
Estimator Assistant
Location: Fontana, CA (On-Site)
Pay: $21/hr | Full-Time | MondayâFriday 8:00 AMâ5:00 PM
Overview
A construction services company is seeking an Estimator Assistant to support the estimating team with bid paperwork, email communications, vendor coordination, and administrative clerical tasks related to proposals and construction projects. This is an ideal role for a detail-oriented candidate with construction administration, project coordination, bid support, or office operations experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with bid paperwork, proposals, and supporting documentation
• Draft and respond to emails to vendors, subs, and internal team members
• Request and follow up on pricing, quotes, and material/vendor information
• Organize plans, specifications, and job folders for takeoffs and proposals
• Maintain bid schedules, deadlines, RFI logs, and follow-up trackers
• Prepare and update spreadsheets, templates, and cost documents
• Perform light data entry, administrative tasks, and file management
• Support documentation for projects and estimating workflow
• Provide clerical support related to estimating and job award process
Requirements
• Experience in administration, estimating support, project coordination, or related office role preferred
• Strong communication skills (email + phone)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Comfortable in a fast-paced construction environment
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
• Bid coordination experience
• Knowledge of construction terminology
• Experience with subcontractors, vendors, or RFIs
• Software exposure (Procore, Bluebeam, BuilderTrend, PlanGrid, etc.)
• Bilingual English/Spanish
