Shipping & Packaging Associate

We are seeking a reliable Shipping & Packaging Associate to support a manufacturing company that produces custom industrial insulation and engineered material components. This role focuses on preparing outgoing shipments, verifying documentation, and ensuring products are packaged accurately and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, label, and package finished parts according to company standards

• Move completed orders from production to shipping; verify supervisor sign-offs

• Review work orders, packing slips, and shipment requirements (including HAZCOM/International)

• Confirm quantities and documentation accuracy

• Build boxes, crates, or skids; use basic hand tools as needed

• Load/unload trucks; operate forklift if certified

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures

Qualifications

• Ability to read production/shipping documents

• Basic to intermediate math skills

• Able to use measuring tools; willing to learn blueprint basics

• Forklift experience a plus

• High school diploma or GED required

• Manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending throughout the shift

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly

Work Environment

• Active manufacturing plant setting

Location: Walnut, CA

Pay: $20.00/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (1st Shift)
