Program Manager II in Santa Ana, CA
Position Overview
An aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Program Manager II to lead complex, cross-functional programs supporting advanced aerospace and space systems. This role is responsible for end-to-end program execution, including schedule, cost, scope, quality, and customer engagement, while driving profitability and long-term business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership in a matrix environment, proven ownership of program financials, and the ability to manage multiple interrelated projects from contract award through delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute multiple, interconnected aerospace programs to meet schedule, cost, and performance objectives

Own program financials, including budget management and profit & loss accountability

Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality

Serve as the primary customer interface and trusted program advisor

Identify and manage risks, scope changes, and program issues; develop corrective actions

Support proposal development, bid preparation, and program transition activities

Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and process efficiency throughout the program lifecycle
Provide accurate program status and financial reporting to senior leadership
Qualifications

Bachelorâs degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant industry experience

7+ years of experience in aerospace or advanced engineering environments

5+ years of program or project management experience

Demonstrated success managing complex programs with financial accountability

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project)

Experience working with aerospace primes and regulated environments preferred
PMP or similar certification a plus
Additional Requirements

Ability to work onsite across office, manufacturing, and customer environments

Periodic travel may be required
-
Must be eligible to work on ITAR-controlled programs
Salary: $135,000 to $180,000
