Document Control Coordinator in Torrance, CA
Document Control Coordinator
Pay: $23â$29/hour
Location: On-site | Torrance, CA
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Coordinator to support document management, engineering change processes, and quality system compliance within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate documentation, supporting audits, and ensuring timely processing of changes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate document control activities, including distribution, tracking, auditing, and reporting on controlled documents

Maintain electronic document systems, directories, and validation files

Administer and manage the electronic document management system (EDMS)

Oversee the ECR/ECO process, including facilitating weekly meetings to ensure timely completion of changes

Support Quality Management System (QMS) audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

Review and update specifications from customers or regulatory agencies to ensure accuracy and currency

Interpret engineering changes, revisions, and drawings; communicate updates with internal teams and customers

Coordinate RMA (Return Material Authorization) processes, including issuing RMA numbers and tracking status

Develop and maintain metrics for document control and RMA activities
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelorâs degree in a technical field preferred)

1â3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with engineering and manufacturing documentation and good documentation practices

Working knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and/or AS9100 (preferred)

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
