Assembly / Sanding Technician I
Job Title: Assembly / Sanding Technician I
Reports To: Shift Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $17.50 â $22.50 per hour
Position Summary
The Assembly / Sanding Technician I is responsible for assembling, sanding, deburring, and finishing parts to meet company quality standards. This role also includes packaging completed products and supporting general production tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Bond blocks and components
Deburr and sand parts to required specifications
Prepare parts in accordance with company standards
Mix and apply adhesives (glue)
Mask parts as needed for processing
Fill gaps and repair minor imperfections
Package finished parts for shipment
Build boxes and cut cardboard for packaging
Repair or rework damaged parts as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
1â2 years of related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills & Abilities
Language Skills
Ability to read and understand basic instructions
Ability to write and communicate simple information clearly
Math Skills
Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability to work with measurements, weights, and quantities
Reasoning Ability
Ability to follow simple instructions and procedures
Ability to handle routine, standardized tasks with minimal variation
Work Environment
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
Moderate noise level typical of a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands and arms
Ability to sit, reach, and communicate effectively
Close and distance vision required
