Quality Control Inspector Aerospace

Job Title: Aerospace Quality Inspector

Position Summary:
We are a fast-paced job shop operating within the aerospace manufacturing sector. The Aerospace Quality Inspector plays a critical role in supporting production flow by ensuring all products meet stringent quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, experienced in aerospace quality systems, and capable of working efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret complex engineering drawings with excellent blueprint reading skills and strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Perform inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers (CMM and CAD experience is a plus)
• Accurately measure and document results on routers and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
• Approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to maintain quality standards
• Ensure all products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements before shipment
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and records
• Follow verbal and written instructions effectively
• Communicate quality issues and updates to the QA Manager and other management personnel

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience in aerospace quality inspection
• Experience working within an AS9100 quality system
• Strong shop math skills and legible handwriting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows)
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM with high accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced job shop environment

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Compensation:

• Starting pay range:$22 to $35
