Quality Control Inspector Aerospace
Job Title: Aerospace Quality Inspector
Position Summary:
We are a fast-paced job shop operating within the aerospace manufacturing sector. The Aerospace Quality Inspector plays a critical role in supporting production flow by ensuring all products meet stringent quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, experienced in aerospace quality systems, and capable of working efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret complex engineering drawings with excellent blueprint reading skills and strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Perform inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers (CMM and CAD experience is a plus)
- Accurately measure and document results on routers and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
- Approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to maintain quality standards
- Ensure all products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements before shipment
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and records
- Follow verbal and written instructions effectively
- Communicate quality issues and updates to the QA Manager and other management personnel
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience in aerospace quality inspection
- Experience working within an AS9100 quality system
- Strong shop math skills and legible handwriting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows)
- Typing speed of at least 25 WPM with high accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced job shop environment
Work Schedule:
- Monday â Friday
- 7:00 AM â 3:30 PM
Compensation:
- Starting pay range:$22 to $35
