CMM Programmer
We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Dimensional Inspector to support inspection activities for complex, high precision components. This role involves programming and operating CMM equipment, performing First Article Inspections (FAIs), and ensuring compliance with industry and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has strong GD&T knowledge, advanced metrology skills, and experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS to inspect complex parts
Perform and document First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 or similar standards
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to determine inspection methods
Conduct in-process and final inspections using manual and automated metrology tools
Maintain accurate, traceable inspection records in alignment with quality system requirements
Work with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to resolve dimensional issues
Support root cause and corrective action activities related to dimensional non-conformances
Assist in developing inspection plans and quality control documentation
Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment and ensure proper usage
Follow all company safety, quality, and compliance procedures
Experience & Skills Requirements
5â15 years of experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS in a precision manufacturing environment
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree in Metrology or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Strong understanding of AS9102 FAI requirements and inspection documentation
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards
Experience with precision inspection tools (micrometers, height gages, calipers, etc.)
Strong GD&T interpretation skills
Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital QMS tools
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
Pay rate: $50-$55/hour (this position is non-exempt)
